Day Trips

The Andaman experience

Whether you like to pop for GT’s, jig for dog tooth tuna or trawl for pelagic species we can offer it all. With numerous reef systems to choose from and dozens of un-inhabited islands every day is special. Within 30 minutes of departure you will be fishing the pristine reef systems hooking in to the fish of your dreams.

We provide 2 bases to choose from. The first is at Barefoot Scuba resort on Havelock Island located right on the beach. Getting to the island involves a short ferry ride from Port Blair. There are excellent fishing spots available around here such as Campbell Shoals, the Button Islands, Sir Huge Rose Island, Niel Island, Outram and a few large Sea Mounts. If you are planning a Barren Island trip we recommend you base yourself in Havelock. It is a very laid back Island, full of beautiful beaches, great food and lush green forests.

The second option is the Nest in Port Blair with amazing views of the ocean. There are various flight options available to get there. Port Blair is the capital of the Andaman Islands with very many great restaurants and shops. Here the fishing spots are more towards the south with amazing locations - Cinque Island, the brother and sister Islands, Twin Islands and some deep water walls to name a few. This option is however only available when booking for 5 or more days of fishing.

Day trip timings are 07:00 till 17:00. Refreshments, snacks and lunch are provided on the boat itself.

Camping trips start at 07:00 on day 1 and finish at 17:00 on day 2. All camping equipment and refreshments are provided for.

Barren Island and Invisible Bank trips start at 04:00 and finish at 19:00. Here you will receive breakfast and lunch on the boat along with plenty of refreshments. Once you are back at the base we will prepare the catch of the day along with plenty of scrumptious dishes.

Day trips can be broken up for a lunch and a snorkel at an un-inhabited island for a well deserved break, but let us know in advance so we can bring snorkeling equipment on board.

Although we practice catch and release if you would like to take a fish back, the guys at Café Del Mar will cook it up for you in the evening.
